I am so amazed at the needle felted creations I keep running into - what a fabulous way to use some wool and your fingers!
I think I'm gonna have to try this.
Oh, yes!

Home schooling
Home schooling has always intrigued me, and now that I have the BabyCloud, I have been thinking of it more and more.
Note to self: Look into it!
Anybody here homeschool?

Lost
That's how I'm feeling. Well, a little, for sure. Things seem to be at a standstill, and I feel somewhat confused as to which direction to take. I so much want to make things, but not having any space to do anything in is telling on me!
In the summer months I painted on the dining table downstairs, but now that area is not very well lit, and not conducive to creativity!
Lately I've been using my computer table as my studio, all two feet by two and a half feet of it. With my laptop, the baby's snacks and the phone already on it, my paintings have to be necessarily tiny! I've never painted on such a small scale before!
But more than anything, I think I'm lost about what to make. I have too many ideas, with too many different materials (a whole stash of odds and ends I have lying around) and not enough time! It's taken me half a day just to write this post. The little Baby Button is all ready to start walking, and I want to make sure she is safe at all times, plus she doesn't nap, plus she is so curious about everything I am doing, and wants to er, lend a hand with every single thing.
She is so cute that most of the time I don't want to do anything but be with her, sometimes I feel the tug, and hope I'll be able to do something worthwhile with my hands soon.!

Addicted2Decorating guest post
Kristi Linauer, who featured my wall treatment on Addicted2Decorating, invited me to contribute as a blogger there. I was so honored! I submitted my first post yesterday, a short note on wallcoverings.

Fab find from Etsy
We had our first snow! Little BabyBubbletoes was fascinated, and she even kept saying 'snow', well, more like 'no', but it was so cute!
Speaking of cute, I came across these adorable trees, and had to share them:

Golden
I took this picture last week. This tree outside our window was so gloriously golden it infused the whole bedroom with an amber glow. Its leaves are mostly gone now, but the process of them turning from green to golden to fiery shades of orange was wonderful to see, and was a lovely thing to show the little BabyButterfly.
I think she enjoyed it as much as I did!

What is Love?
My friend sent me this:
A group of four to eight year-old children were asked, "What does love mean?" The answers they gave were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined.
"Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it
everyday" (Tina - age 7)
"My mommy loves me more than anybody. You don't see anyone else
kissing me to sleep at night." (Clare - Age 5)
"When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You
know that your name is safe in their mouth." (Billy - age 4)
"When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint
her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time,
even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love." (Rebecca - age 8 )
"Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French
fries without making them give you any of theirs." (Chrissy - age 6 )
"Love is what makes you smile when you're tired." (Terri - age 4 )
"Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip
before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK." (Danny - age 7)
"Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still
friends even after they know each other so well." (Tommy - age 6 )
"During my piano recital, I was on a stage and scared. I looked at all
the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the
only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore. That's love" (Cindy - age 6)
"Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone
all day." (Mary Ann - age 4 )

I'm not liking this...
...Networking.
It's depressing me.
I'm not the kind of person easily depressed
but
I hate facebook.
and I'm not liking...
this blog any more.
And I just want to paint.

There are lots of things to see, unwrapped gifts and free surprises. The world is fairly studded and strewn with pennies cast broadside from a generous hand. But- and this is the point- who gets excited by a mere penny? If you follow one arrow, if you crouch motionless on a bank to watch a tremulous ripple thrill on the water and are rewarded by the sight of a muskrat kit paddling from its den, will you count that sight a chip of copper only, and go your rueful way?
It is dire poverty indeed when a man is so malnourished and fatigued that he won't stoop to pick up a penny. But if you cultivate a healthy poverty and simplicity, so that finding a penny will literally make your day, then, since the world is in fact planted in pennies, you have with your poverty bought a lifetime of days.
It is that simple. What you see is what you get.
