Ramadan starts today!
We are sort of settled into the apartment we are renting, but there's a lot of stuff that needs to be put away. I'm tripping over things all the time!
So the NanoBot and I did a very simple activity to welcome our favorite time of year. I quickly drew some letters on construction paper (completely freehand and therefore quite uneven) and she colored them in, then I cut them out. A little BlueTac later, voila! A simple little reminder for the three-year old to look at all the time, since she's learning the names of the months of the Arabic calendar.
I have something very simple in mind for Eid too, which I will share when we do it, InshaAllah!

She is an excellent colourer!
Actually, I had to coax her a bit to use a variety of colors - she'll usually go with just one or two. Her most favorite 'coloring' tool? The ballpen.
I think colouring with pens was my favourite too? Haha, that is very cute. She did a great job though, and she stayed in the lines nicely. Which is more than I can say for myself when I was colouring with pens...
Hee hee - she didn't exactly stay in the lines...although she usually does, despite my exhortations to 'color how ever', but the trick here was cutting out the letters AFTER she was done coloring. It kinda automatically led to a neat(ish) finish!
Thank you for not restricting colouring styles! That was the worst in school. So I made the clown purple? What's the big deal? That's what I asked.
Haha, also cutting them out after is a really good idea!
