Prepping

Art show in June!!!
There's so much I need to figure out - tent, tables, display,
and of course the art!!

Here's a small peek into what I'll be showing.

It's tea time a lot in my paintings these days :)

I'm finding the whole process so magical -
combining watercolors with collage and acrylics on canvas
is way too fun! Looking forward to making more of these!

To tea or not to tea

WIP pics of my mixed-media, tea-inspired piece that I did for a recent giveaway.
It involved working on a page from a vintage book that I've read so often it has fallen apart,
and flowers (dahlias?) that I drew and painted and cut out, and a canvas that has
multiple layers of paint and paper on it.

I'll share the finished piece soon.

Meanwhile, my mug (it contained coffee before I drank it all up and used it as a prop) is happy
it got to feature in my painting. OK, the stripes are the other way, but it's still black and white :)

Bloom True

This made me think of a whole bunch of waterfall paintings I did once,
although those were all cool blues.

I made this more spring-like, which reminds me of resilience.

In the face of adversity, to bloom true.

Paintings!

Just enjoying the process.

Every painting is a journey.

And I always like to stop and smell the roses.

The destination is then lost in the joy of getting there.

And that's OK.
